My! How time flies!

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to do another post - what a crap new blogger I am! I can't believe how the week has flown! Not even had chance to do my mojo monday or copic colour challenge yet! What is the world coming to?! lol

So, as promised I've made some cards (at last) using the pieces that I had stamped and coloured a little while ago with the copics. As those of you who have already visited my blog will know, I'm a complete newbie to the coipcs but am loving them and can't believe how I've survived without them so far! lol

I love the fact that you can you use any images and any papers and make everything match yourself. No worries about things co-ordinating anymore! I just grab my copics and away I go!

Hope you like them:

All of the images used are stamps from Craftwork Cards and the papers I've used on all of these cards are My Mind's Eye both Pretty Please and Abbey Road. My Mind's Eye are a bit of an all time favourite really as they always seem to go with my style well.

I hope you enjoy and hopefully my next post will be a damn sight quicker than this one! lol x

Finally....

Finally my advent project is completed! Yay - you'll have to excuse the poor photography as it's getting late and the lighting is poor - also it was such a large project to photograph!

OK, so what have I used to make this fantabulous advent calendar:
8x8 Joy printed patterned papers - Craftwork Cards
Tiny House Diecut templates - Craftwork Cards
Standard size House Diecut templates - Craftwork Cards
Numbers - printed on PC
Backing Card - Craftwork Cards

Both this Advent Calendar project and the Christmas Wreath shown previously will be on show at The Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show at Alexandra Palace this weekend so pop by and see it in the flesh!
Not a big posting today as it's taken all night to get it completed in time but now I'll have time to complete some challenges - yay x

Doomed!

Maybe not quite so gloomy - just delayed the monster project for a day :-(

I was struck by a tension headache today that no painkillers would shift - this resulted in me going to sleep when I got in from work so I could try and shift it. Unfortunately this was my crafting time! Argh - monster project + no time = stress!

When I got in from work and after my grown-up nap I went downstairs to find mum had cut out all my patterned papers for me to stick on the birdhouses. I've managed to stick all the papers on all 25 houses (blimey!) and assembled 7 of them - this is how they're looking so far:
I'm not going to give you any ideas what it's going to look like when it's finished 'cos it'll spoil the surprise! But come hell or high water it's got to be done tomorrow night lol.

I also wanted to show you a couple of bits that I'd done with my new complete set of copics (hee hee) as I've been colouring all weekend and am loving them!!!! They're just fantastic and I can't recommend them highly enough - all blame to Julie Hickey for introducing me to them! (Thanks really Julie- -they're the best!!)

I'll be making cards with them over the next few days so I'll put them on when when they're done!
Catch you later! x

A project and a half

So I had an idea the other day when I met a friend for a drink and we were talking 'shop'- the tiny birdhouses I've used to make the wreath that I showed you in a previous post; well I'm attempting to make an advent calendar with little gifts in each house to open each day of the advent season.

I have the picture in my head but actually bringing it to fruitition is going to take a little longer to make lol!

I promised my friend Sue, at Craftwork Cards that I'll have it done for the weekend for the show at Ally Pally, therefore I need to post it on Wednesday to make damn sure she gets it - so with little houses in the post to me today, by my calculations - that means I have - erm - one night to complete it lol!! Ouch!

Luckily I have one tiny house spare from my last project so I've made templates and drawn out all the shapes I need on the patterned paper - I'm relying on my trusty assistant - aka Mum - to cut out all the shapes tomorrow so when I get in from work and the gym (giving you an idea of how much time I'll have left!) I might have a spare half hour to stick all the papers to the houses and stick them all together! OMG!!!

Fingers crossed (so tightly the circulation is slowing) I'll be able to show you a picture of it tomorrow night - maybe even a before and after picture!

Take care - c u 2moro x

Copic Colour Challenge #31

I only bought my copics (set B) at the weekend and I'm loving the effects and the use I'm getting out of them already - a sound investment! So much so that I have phoned my local supplier and have had set A put aside for me until the weekend! lol

So ever since Sunday I've been researching on the net and reading peoples blogs and finding out how to use them. This was when I came across the Copic Colour Challenge blog - fantastic!

This is my first entry and as I only have half a set I had to improvise with one of the colour suggestions but here goes:

Colours used:
YR31, YR23, Y38
G85, G28, G94
R05, R35
All other supplies from Craftwork Cards (Colour Me - Tweet Twoo, Emobossed vellum, pearlescent card).

I hope you like it x

Merry Christmas!!! (sorry, just practising!)

OK, so Craftwork Cards have some little houses you can buy to decorate and make up. I thought - "they're the best!" - AND THEN: they did some teeny tiny ones which are absolutely adorable!!!!

I had a brainwave the other day- as the houses have angled sides if you glue 15 of them together they form a perfect circle. I've decorated them using the CandyCane Christmas papers. In the centre I've cut a circle and written a message. I've stuck ribbons through two of the houses to make a hanger, have a look how it turned out - I'm loving it!

In the photo below you can see a little closer how I've decorated the houses. I've cut little doors and black outlined them, used icicle stickles on the scalloped roofs and attached Christmas In Circles messages on alternate houses.

It'll be on the Craftwork Cards stand with me at the show this weekend if you'd like a closer look!

Mojo Monday Wk103

Here's my Mojo Monday entry this week.

I've used my new 'Mary&Bright' Christmas papers for this one. I love the fact that everything is so perfectly co-ordinated. So much time and thought goes into the new products that CC produce and it certainly pays!

What I used:
Size 6 Blank Card - Craftwork Cards
8x8 'Mary & Bright' Patterned Papers - Craftwork Cards
8x8 'Love the Look' Lowlights papers - Craftwork Cards
Colour Me Ovals - Noel - Craftwork Cards
Scalloped Oval - Craftwork Cards
Bazzill Basics Ribbon

Debut day has arrived!

Ok, so I know you don't know me from Adam at the moment and haven' a clue about my style and whether you like it but I just wanted to share with you my exciting news!

I have designed two paper ranges for Craftwork Cards and they are chuggin' up the motorway to their launch at the Great Northern Papercrafts Extravaganza this weekend. There is a Christmas set and a bright fresh set- ideal for cards and projects at any time of the year.

I'll be demonstrating the lovely paper ranges and lots of brand new goodies at the show on Saturday so be sure to pop by and say hi. I'll be somewhere under the 'woops' and 'ooooos' around the mahoosive stand in the middle! I'll post a few of my samples I've made using them later!

And a blog is born!

Yay - I've finally managed to throw together a blog that I'm half happy with - a work in process I think is how it is best described. Anyway - welcome to those that visit - I'll crack on with crafty posts right now!
