What a week? - I tell you!
Not a spare minute to make cards this week guys! What with shopping and last minute shopping for Christmas - buying my own gifts and everyone elses; visiting family who I don't see much of but should really see more of and seeing those who I see often.
This Christmas is going is breaking all traditions. For the past 27 years of my life I've spent every Christmas day at home with my family - this year I'm going to travel up north and spend it with my lovely man and his family. It'll be strange to have such a different day but I'm really looking forward to it.
Just in case I don't get another chance to post before (as it looks like the net won't be up and running at home til after the new year), I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has looked at my new blog over the last few months. These things take ages to build up and it's a brilliant feeling to see it start to climb the ratings, slowly but surely I'm sure we'll get there - so thank you x
Also wishing those of you who celebrate it - a very merry Christmas and wishing everyone a fantastic 2010!
Happy Holidays peeps x x

OMG!
You guessed it - the bloody internet is still down, however we are working on the problem and have moved from the crappy service of Orange Broadband to Sky, so I'm waiting for my router so I can commence the super frequent blogging!
The Craftwork Cards craft day the other week was an absolute dream - the cards and projects we made were fantastic and I can't recommend the next one highly enough - well done guys!
As I haven't blogged in ages (cos of that damn internet) I've made tonnes of cards to share with you - here's a super amount of cards to keep you going til next time.
All materials were from Craftwork Cards - check out the new fabby colours! I've not been into stamping before but their new stamps are just to die for!

Yummy Scrummy!
Well------did you check out those papers I told you about yesterday????
Well here's a few cards I made yesterday, hope they give you a bit of inspiration! They were so easy to make as everything co-ordinates together so well! There are some stamps - all chocolate themed but they hadn't arrived when I went to collect the goodies - boo hoo! Something great to look forward to though hey!
All the cards were made with papers and accents from the new Yummy Scrummy ranges at Craftwork Cards and all items are available on their website for you to devour! I'm back home tomorrow, so I'm unsure if I'll be able to post int he week due to lack of broadband!
Apologies for the pants photos - just taken them on my phone and haven't got any cropping programmes up here lol!
Oh, and before I forget, I'm off to a fan-dabby workshop day next Saturday by CraftworkCards at the Village Hotel in Leeds, there'll be workshops with Sue and Julie and all the team and even Santa is coming! - I can't wait!!!!!! I'm sure there are still a few spaces though if you'd like to come and join in the fun - details on the CWC website.
Sees ya later x

2 good 2 be true!
Well, as I sat there and committed myself to blogging away lots and lots (ie more than once a month!) and as I'd just posted the last post what should happen?
The internet died - I hate phoning Orange to sort it out as it's always so long winded but I needed the net so bad (that and the fact that my mum kept asking every 2 minutes when it would be up again) - like I knew?!? So I reported the fault to find out there was a problem with the actual broadband line - not my fault! So I'm waiting for it to get mended.
"How is she blogging now?" I hear you all ask - I'm always up at my lovely Mark's house at the weekend so I've snaffled his internet!
I'm off to use the fantastic new scrummy gorgeous papers from Craftwork Cards now:
So get your cute little butts over to their fan-dabby new website and check them out - I'll show you what I get made tomorrow! PROMISE! lol
Take care and have a fabby weekend x

2 posts in 2 days - don't go fainting on me now!
What a day! After a super long day at work and then 2 hours at the hospital with my gran there's no way I can even contemplate making a card or two.
So I thought I'd show you a couple of cards I made the other week with some My Mind's Eye papers. There papers are just gorgeous and I don't think they can ever go out of fashion.
I've used the size 0 cared by Craftwork Cards which are just 3 3/4" square. So cute and so quick to get realy good results. Let me know what you think!
Take care x

So I'm guessing...
... you might be getting sick of my apologies by now!?! lol, Well I am really sorry. It's just been so busy for the last few weeks.
Mark and I had the first 2 weeks of November off work and were lucky enough to grab a second holiday in the sun this year (greedy, I know!) so we spent our time in Egypt - we have both been before so kind of knew what to expect and got a great late deal. This is my first week back at work and OMG! What a week so far! There is the proverbial poo flying at me from all directions. Isn't it amazing that the world of work grinds to a halt when you're off and when you're back everyone expects everything to be done yesterday lol - get a grip and wait you're turn! lol -- don't they realise I have a blog to do and cards to make?!?!
I'm making a new year's resolution now (as those made in January don't often last!) (Like my logic?!?!) - ok - I MUST BLOG AT LEAST 4 OR 5 TIMES PER WEEK!!
The internet has been down at home just about all this week though so that hasn't helped my cause!
I promise I'll post you some cards this week though - just wanted to let you all know what's cracking off!
Take care - back tomorrow! x

Copic Colour Challenge Wk35
It's a bit late but here's my copic colour challenge this week. I've used my new Anya stamps:
Colours this week:
Here's my card:
What I've used:
Scalloped Size 6 card - Craftwork Cards
Embossed Flower Frame - Craftwork Cards
Copic Markers - all colours as above - www.clickoncrafts.co.uk
Copic fine liner
Dressed Up Anya Stamp - Crafts U Love
Enjoy x
As promised..
Doodle Tutorial!
STEP 3:
Make a note in your diary - that's 2 posts on my blog in 2 days! Reckon that's a record! lol
So I told you yesterday I'd show you how to create the little frames I used yesterday - here's how I did it:
STEP 1:
Take a sheet of the 4 mini scalloped frames
STEP 2:
Using a Copic or Pigma fine liner to draw random circles over the frame. The more random-the better the effect. Believe it or not but it even looks better if the ends of the circle don't meet perfectly too! You can't lose!
STEP 3:
Take a a copic marker and add one colour at a time
Building up the different coloured circles
STEP 6:
Add a background colour around the coloured circles
STEP 7:
Carefully tear the perforations and pull the frame from the backing
STEP 7:

STEP 8:
TA DA!!!! All finished!
I told you it was easy!
I'll show you some more frames I've coloured tomorrow!

It's official...
...I'm the crappiest crap crap blogger! lol. What a couple of weeks it's been!!
Well last week I took three days annual leave and spent them at Craftwork Cards helping Sue and Julie with the new website. I've designed some gorgeous new papers which I'm hopeful will be commissioned (fingers crossed)!
I'm well into doodling at the moment and seem to be doodling on every project I take on; whether it's papers, cards or boxes, I just can't stop!
I'm going to show you a couple of the cards I've made this weekend and hopefully tomorrow I'm going to post a bit of a tutorial on how to achieve this effect.
I've used My Mind's Eye - Colourful Christmas papers, various ribbons, card candy from Craftwork Cards and the finishing touch - Small scalloped frames from Craftwork Cards.
They're cut from a plain white cardstock and they're just fabulous to colour on with copics.
Grab your copic fineliners, copic markers and some white card and join me tomorrow for a doodle tutorial - you won't believe how easy it is and how good it'll look!

My! How time flies!
I'm sorry it's taken me so long to do another post - what a crap new blogger I am! I can't believe how the week has flown! Not even had chance to do my mojo monday or copic colour challenge yet! What is the world coming to?! lol
So, as promised I've made some cards (at last) using the pieces that I had stamped and coloured a little while ago with the copics. As those of you who have already visited my blog will know, I'm a complete newbie to the coipcs but am loving them and can't believe how I've survived without them so far! lol
I love the fact that you can you use any images and any papers and make everything match yourself. No worries about things co-ordinating anymore! I just grab my copics and away I go!
Hope you like them:
All of the images used are stamps from Craftwork Cards and the papers I've used on all of these cards are My Mind's Eye both Pretty Please and Abbey Road. My Mind's Eye are a bit of an all time favourite really as they always seem to go with my style well.
I hope you enjoy and hopefully my next post will be a damn sight quicker than this one! lol x

Finally....
Finally my advent project is completed! Yay - you'll have to excuse the poor photography as it's getting late and the lighting is poor - also it was such a large project to photograph!
OK, so what have I used to make this fantabulous advent calendar:
8x8 Joy printed patterned papers - Craftwork Cards
Tiny House Diecut templates - Craftwork Cards
Standard size House Diecut templates - Craftwork Cards
Numbers - printed on PC
Backing Card - Craftwork Cards
Both this Advent Calendar project and the Christmas Wreath shown previously will be on show at The Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show at Alexandra Palace this weekend so pop by and see it in the flesh!
Not a big posting today as it's taken all night to get it completed in time but now I'll have time to complete some challenges - yay x

Doomed!
Maybe not quite so gloomy - just delayed the monster project for a day :-(
I was struck by a tension headache today that no painkillers would shift - this resulted in me going to sleep when I got in from work so I could try and shift it. Unfortunately this was my crafting time! Argh - monster project + no time = stress!
When I got in from work and after my grown-up nap I went downstairs to find mum had cut out all my patterned papers for me to stick on the birdhouses. I've managed to stick all the papers on all 25 houses (blimey!) and assembled 7 of them - this is how they're looking so far:
I'm not going to give you any ideas what it's going to look like when it's finished 'cos it'll spoil the surprise! But come hell or high water it's got to be done tomorrow night lol.
I also wanted to show you a couple of bits that I'd done with my new complete set of copics (hee hee) as I've been colouring all weekend and am loving them!!!! They're just fantastic and I can't recommend them highly enough - all blame to Julie Hickey for introducing me to them! (Thanks really Julie- -they're the best!!)
Catch you later! x

A project and a half
So I had an idea the other day when I met a friend for a drink and we were talking 'shop'- the tiny birdhouses I've used to make the wreath that I showed you in a previous post; well I'm attempting to make an advent calendar with little gifts in each house to open each day of the advent season.
I have the picture in my head but actually bringing it to fruitition is going to take a little longer to make lol!
I promised my friend Sue, at Craftwork Cards that I'll have it done for the weekend for the show at Ally Pally, therefore I need to post it on Wednesday to make damn sure she gets it - so with little houses in the post to me today, by my calculations - that means I have - erm - one night to complete it lol!! Ouch!
Luckily I have one tiny house spare from my last project so I've made templates and drawn out all the shapes I need on the patterned paper - I'm relying on my trusty assistant - aka Mum - to cut out all the shapes tomorrow so when I get in from work and the gym (giving you an idea of how much time I'll have left!) I might have a spare half hour to stick all the papers to the houses and stick them all together! OMG!!!
Fingers crossed (so tightly the circulation is slowing) I'll be able to show you a picture of it tomorrow night - maybe even a before and after picture!
Take care - c u 2moro x

Copic Colour Challenge #31
I only bought my copics (set B) at the weekend and I'm loving the effects and the use I'm getting out of them already - a sound investment! So much so that I have phoned my local supplier and have had set A put aside for me until the weekend! lol
So ever since Sunday I've been researching on the net and reading peoples blogs and finding out how to use them. This was when I came across the Copic Colour Challenge blog - fantastic!
This is my first entry and as I only have half a set I had to improvise with one of the colour suggestions but here goes:
Colours used:
YR31, YR23, Y38
G85, G28, G94
R05, R35
All other supplies from Craftwork Cards (Colour Me - Tweet Twoo, Emobossed vellum, pearlescent card).
I hope you like it x

Merry Christmas!!! (sorry, just practising!)
OK, so Craftwork Cards have some little houses you can buy to decorate and make up. I thought - "they're the best!" - AND THEN: they did some teeny tiny ones which are absolutely adorable!!!!
I had a brainwave the other day- as the houses have angled sides if you glue 15 of them together they form a perfect circle. I've decorated them using the CandyCane Christmas papers. In the centre I've cut a circle and written a message. I've stuck ribbons through two of the houses to make a hanger, have a look how it turned out - I'm loving it!
In the photo below you can see a little closer how I've decorated the houses. I've cut little doors and black outlined them, used icicle stickles on the scalloped roofs and attached Christmas In Circles messages on alternate houses.
It'll be on the Craftwork Cards stand with me at the show this weekend if you'd like a closer look!
